Gerald had decided to bring his sister on yet another tour of the Safari Zone. After all, the exercise would be good for her and by now he could certainly not deny that she had been placed on a path of being a Pokémon trainer, by his will or her own.

He figured he might as well help her along.

So, the pair walked quietly through the Safari awaiting the first Pokémon that would pop up for them. Pondering what it could possibly be.

The first Pokemon they came upon was a Pachirisu. The small electric rodent seizing them up deciding what it wanted to do.

“Seems like we got our first fighter, Anna.” Gerald spoke.

His little sister nodded excitedly, stray hair flying in front of her face, quickly whisked away by eager hands.

“Remember, using the proper type of Pokemon is important. Not doing so can quickly mean a loss.” Gerald tried to explain.

Luckily Anna listened for once. She took a moment to consider her options and then threw a Pokéball.

Out came a Petilil, the Grass type were eager to battle. What followed was a long and arduous battle of lightning and grass. Anna won the battle only by being smart and deploying Leech Seed, weakening the Pachirisu the longer the battle took. At last she threw a Safari Ball, hopefully catching it.

The capture of the electric Pokemon was successful. Though he felt some conflicting emotions, there was a certain pride in seeing his sisters work. But there was plenty of more to see as they moved on.

The jingling of keys announced the next Pokemon. Though the Fairy Pokemon didn’t quite hold the girls interest, and so they both moved on, hoping for something more exciting.

The next pokemon to stumble upon the group Gerald and his sister was a Sizzlipede. The awesome red coloration caught the eye of Anna and so she was eager to jump into combat.

But before Petilil could be sent out into the battle, Gerald fake coughed loudly enough to prevent the mistake.

With a quietly muttered “Oh right.” The little girl quickly retrieved the grass type in favor of a Flying type Rookidee.

This time the battle was short. The Rookidee’s flying type moves made quick work of the Shiny Sizzlipede even though it fought valiantly with FIRE LASH and FLAME WHEELS.

And in the end the girl threw a Safari ball, praying the fire Pokemon would be caught. And if not, then Gerald was ready to deal with it.

The next Pokemon to bar their way was a Dunsparce. Gerald didn’t find it particularly interesting and so urged his little sister on.

The girl was too preoccupied with playing with her Rookidee and admiring the capture she just did to even notice the Dunsparce.

Having left the Dunsparce in the dust they moved on until a wild Klink appeared. Screeching at them. A CHARGE BEAM was quickly sent at them and Gerald knew this one would be outside the scope of Anna’s ability to battle.

Luckily the Infernape that he summoned could deal with the flying magnets easily. A quick FLARE BLITZ was all it took before their opponent laid flat on the ground.

Gerald threw a Safari Ball at it, their final one. Hopefully this would be worth it.
